We're currently seeking a Staff + level Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team, based in Toronto, and work within proprietary generative AI products.

This role is mainly remote, but does require occasional days in Downtown Toronto.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, with lots of experience building both front-end and back-end systems. You should be an expert in technologies such as React, Node/Express, several CSS frameworks (e.g. Material UI, Tailwind), as well as databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and cloud infrastructures (at least one of: AWS, GCP, Azure). Coding requires proficiency in both Typescript and Python.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of new features for the product suite platform, spanning UI enhancements, server-side APIs, and serverless Python functions.
  • Collaborate with the design team to marry UI/UX visions with technical execution, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Advocate for best practices in software development, focusing on reusability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Enhance system stability and scalability by working closely with the engineering and product teams, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Qualifications:

  • A solid foundation with a minimum of 10 years in full stack development, showcasing expertise in React, Node, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
  • Proven experience with React, Node/Express, and CSS frameworks such as Material UI, Tailwind, coupled with a deep understanding of database management (e.g., PostgreSQL) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • A knack for solving complex problems using Typescript and Python, with a creative approach to implementing solutions at the intersection of technology and design.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, version control via Git, and a proactive stance on learning and adapting to new technologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in Chrome Extension development and building applications leveraging LLMs such as GPT.
  • Design acumen, comfortable using tools like Figma, and a keen eye for the integration of form and function.
