An innovative blockchain start-up in NYC is looking to hire a Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS/Android) with expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of their mobile app, leveraging KMP to scale across both iOS and Android platforms. The position is based in New York City, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days per week in-office.
Job Description:
As a Senior Mobile Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. Your primary focus will be on leveraging Kotlin Multiplatform to create seamless and high-performance apps that deliver an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with our product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate our innovative blockchain solutions into top-notch mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android using Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define app requirements, features, and specifications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Implement and optimize mobile app features, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our mobile development processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile app development, with a strong background in both iOS and Android platforms.
- Proven experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and a solid understanding of its best practices and limitations.
- Proficiency in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) programming languages.
- Experience with mobile app architecture patterns and frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project management.
