The platform is built on cutting-edge technology to deliver scalable and reliable solutions to clients. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our talented teams and drive the development of our platform to the next level.
The Role
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing two globally dispersed teams of 8-10 developers. This role is a balance of people leadership (60%) and hands-on technical contributions (40%). The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience with Node.js, backend architecture, and a proven track record of managing software development teams in a B2B SaaS platform company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage two teams of 8-10 globally dispersed developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to define and deliver product roadmaps and project plans.
- Drive technical decision-making and architectural discussions, ensuring that solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide hands-on technical guidance and support to team members.
- Work closely with the engineering leadership team to continuously improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend architecture.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, managing globally dispersed software development teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Postgres.
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS platform company is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
