My client is looking for a mid-level Java Developer to be based in Düsseldorf on a hybrid basis. It will be a 12 month contract with the possibility to extend.

Join our exciting team as a Mid-Level Java Developer within the insurance sector. You will ensure software quality with SCRUM development methods. You'll have the chance to explore, create, and improve applications for our home insurance platform. In a critical role within the early stages of our backend team, you'll play a pivotal part in developing cutting-edge technology.
Mandatory requirements
- 4+ years experience as a Java Developer
- Deep understanding of Java (8 or above) and Spring Boot.
- Experience in Microservices frameworks
- Experience with delivery tools; Github, Jenkins
- SCRUM Development/ Software life cycles
- Understanding of REST API principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to haves
- Insurance experience
- Experience using Azure platform
- Some German knowledge
