The role
As one of the founding engineers, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the platform's future. We're seeking an individual contributor comfortable with writing code and contributing to strategic decisions and architectural designs. Your ability to thrive in a startup environment, where agility and speed are paramount, is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend and frontend solutions using Python, React, JavaScript, and AWS.
- Collaborate closely with our small, dynamic team of engineers
- Contribute to the strategic direction of our product and platform architecture.
- Ensure high code quality, scalability, and performance of our applications.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile development practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer.
- Experience of managing a small team.
- Proficiency in Python, React, JavaScript, and AWS services.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a startup environment, delivering results efficiently.
- Passion for tackling challenging problems and driving innovation in the legal industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, but open to candidates with equivalent experience.

- Previous experience with legal tech or AI-driven platforms.
- Familiarity working in Big Tech companies and interest in transitioning to an early-stage startup environment.
